STATE OF ORIGIN - THE DECIDER - OCC WEATHER FORECAST

Well the Queenslanders and New South Welshman are set for an epic encounter on Wednesday night in the Rugby League Origin decider. Will the weather Gods come to the party or will they try and spoil everyone's party? OCC takes a look at some of your weather questions for the big night

KICKOFF TIME - 8:10PM (Under 16 Origin game kicks off at 5:50PM
VENUE - Suncorp Stadium - Brisbane

WILL THERE BE RAIN?

There is a very low probability of some very isolated and extremely light showers around the Brisbane CBD tomorrow evening, Given the extremely isolated nature of these showers and the very light rain that would fall from them even if you happened to be under one, it would be unlikely that we will see rain have any impact on the big game.

WILL IT BE WINDY?

Unlikely. The earlier game in the afternoon may see winds around the 10-13 knot mark from the south, but these winds will drop by kickoff time for the main game. For the main game, we are expecting a light southerly wind across the stadium around the 5-8 knot mark with gusts around 10-12 knots.

WILL I NEED A JUMPER?

It depends on your ability to withstand temps around 13-16 degrees Celsius. The main game will kickoff with temps around the 15-16 degree mark but by the end of the game temps will have dropped to around 13-14 degrees, and if you plan to celebrate your team's victory well into the night, some warm clothing could be a good idea with minimums in and around the city likely to drop to around 10-12 degrees by the early morning hours.

So it looks like the Weather Gods are going to stay out of this one. Whichever team you barrack for, good luck and enjoy a lovely evening in Brisbane.
