SIGNIFICANT WEATHER VIDEO FORECAST 2ND MARCH - WESTERN QLD FLOOD EVENT
A LOW located near Cloncurry is becoming slow moving. The system will drift slowly to the south-west today. Heavy rain will develop and continue east of the LOW and extend to areas south of the LOW overnight tonight and tomorrow.
There is considerable disagreement about the future movement of the LOW and the video outlines why that is the case.
The timeline for the video:
0 - 10 - General overview
10 - 17 - Difference in motion and steering
17 - 23 - looking closer at today
Subscribers the next video forecast for this system is due this evening.
A Month Ahead/Future Aussie Cyclones update will be out mid-afternoon looking at where and when models indicate Future cyclones will happen
The first video forecast on the upcoming Queensland coast rain event next week will be issued this evening as well.
We will keep the Western Queensland system and the coastal Queensland system and any Gulf/Peninsula cyclone activity in separate videos over the next week.
